Principal topics of interest are applications of computer algebra and in particular Mathematica in mathematics, computer science, the physical and biological sciences, economics, engineering, the arts, and education. The conference will provide a forum for researchers and users from diverse fields to present original work, and to learn about current developments and uses of advanced scientific computing. Besides keynote lectures and contributed papers, the symposium offers tutorials, discussion forums, poster presentations and software demonstrations.

IMS '99 is the third IMS meeting, following events in Southampton, England, and Rovaniemi, Finland (see IMS'9{5,7}). The list of keynote presentations Keynotes reflects the vast variety of topics addressed.
