The Research Institute for Symbolic Computation (RISC) of the Johannes Kepler University in Linz is together with the Department for Graphics and Parallel Processing (GUP) and in cooperation with the Upper Austrian Research (UAR) department for medical informatics in Hagenberg (as an external partner) participating in the European Enabling Grids for E-sciencE (EGEE-II) project running from April 2006 to March 2008.

RISC participates in two EGEE-II networking activities (NAs):

NA4 Application Identification and Support
RISC is in cooperation with UAR porting the SEE-GRID software for the biomechanical simulation of the human eye by grid computing (jointly developed with UAR within the frame of the Austrian Grid Project on the basis of the UAR's SEE++ software) to the EGEE-II middleware gLite and further developing the software on the basis of this middleware.

Papers and Posters

NA3 User Training and Induction
RISC is in cooperation with GUP participating in training activities in order to educate users to the EGEE-II infrastructure.
