Ongoing Projects

SWH - Software Competence Center Hagenberg (1999-2003)

The SWH represents one of the competence centers of the Kplus programme in which university and industry cooperate on internationally competitive research and development in several application areas.

ToRoLo - Tour Optimization, Route Optimization, Load Optimization (Hödlmayr) (1997-)

In this project, logistic and disposition software is developed to manage the load and tours of 200 trucks for 10000 car orders per week for whole Europe.

Completed Projects

DispoRules (Stadler) (1998-1999)

In this cooperation optimized transportation cylces are generated based on the current orders, giving scheduling rules.

EVM -- Engel Virtual Machine (Engel) (1997-)

In the course of the project Control 2000 the controlling software for the Engel injection moulding machine will be adapted to the IEC 1131-3 standard.

ecoCIM (Actual) (1992-)

In the frame of this project a software system was developed to simulate and control the production line in a window production.

JavaMasks (HAN dataport) (1997)

In this project, platform-independent masks connected to an Oracle database were implemented in Java/JDBC.

KEMRO (KEBA Automation) (1997)

In the course of the project, all possibilities of transferring the KEMRO RX kernel to Windows NT have been explored.

Farbenfabrik (Farbenfabrik Errichtungs- und Betriebsgesellschaft) (1996)

With the help of the computer algebra program Mathematica, the approximating functions for generating color tones by mixing a primary color with a color pigment have been determined.

Automatic Generation of Supply Lists (GEA, Uni Software Plus) (1993-1994)

In this project, a detailed supply was developed for each specific component list for an automatically generated component list.

4-You (Ried) (1993)

In the frame of this project, a study about the realizability and a software technological concept of an office automation system was investigated.

Milling Tool Construction (Leitz) (1993)

In this project, the automatic composition of milling tools was investigated.

Automated Generation of Component Lists (GEA, Uni Software Plus) (1992-1993)

In this project, a software system was developed for the automatic generation of component lists for complex manufacturing devices.

Anis (AI Informatics) (1990-1993)

In this project, a software system for flame cutting was developed.

Automatic 5-Axis Milling of Frames of Glasses (Anger) (1992)

In this project a software system for the automatic generation of milling paths was developed.

Automated Tunneling (Mayreder) (1989-1992)

A software package for the automated control of tunneling was developed in this project.

NC-SAVE (AI Informatics) (1989-1992)

In this project, the software system NC-SAVE for the simulation and technological analysis of NC machining was developed.

Expert Systems for Plant Control (VÖEST-ALPINE) (1988-1992)

In this project, an expert system for plant control was developed.

Symbolic Computation for Neural Networks (Siemens) (1989-1991)

In the frame of this project, computer assistance for the theoretical analysis and derivation of artificial neural systems was investigated.

Computer-Aided Molecular Synthesis (Uniware) (1986-1991)

In this project, algorithms for the problem of synthesizing chemical molecules from information on initial molecules and chemical reactions were investigated.
