language = {english},
abstract = {In this thesis, our contributions are as follows: First, we present a new method for rational-function telescoping based on Hermite reduction. Second, we generalized the Ore-Sato theorem for hypergeometric terms to hyperexponential-hypergeometric functions. Third, we described two existence criteria for telescopers in the continuous-discrete case. With those criteria , the termination of the continuous-discrete analogue of Zeilberger's algorithm is decided.},
